Dear Parishioners,
On June 12, 2025, the Archdiocese of Omaha formally released the official changes for the 2025 Clergy assignments. The new assignments indicate that Father Taylor Leffler will become a pastor of five parishes and reside in Humphrey, Nebraska. Fr. Nicholas Mishek will remain in Columbus and become our associate pastor. Fr. Jacob Chindo, a native of Nigeria and priest of the diocese of Minna, Nigeria will become our second associate pastor. Finally, Fr. Gergory Carl, a priest of the Archdiocese of Omaha, will live at the St. Bonaventure rectory and be assigned as the Archdiocesan Servant Minister with additional weekend sacramental duties at Divine Mercy Parish in Schuyler, Nebraska. The role of Servant Minister involves Fr. Carl ministering to his fellow priests throughout the Archdiocese of Omaha. Here is the official news release:

SERVANT MINISTER - Fr. Gregory Carl, associate pastor in the parishes of Rural Family L, is assigned as Servant Minister with residence at St. Bonaventure in Columbus and weekend sacramental duties at Divine Mercy Parish, Schuyler.
