will begin early August!
FAMILY FAITH FORMATION
St. Bonaventure’s FFF (PRE) grades K-6, is a family-based program that help families grow in the love and understanding of God and the Catholic faith. It is designed to support parents as the primary educators of their children in the faith. They involve various activities, such as prayer, projects, and discussions to do with your children at home. One Wednesday evening a month, parents and their children will meet at the Parish Center to hear about the month’s main topic and engage in hands-on and interactive activities that will aid in strengthening the family’s relationship with God and the Church.
At least one parent will attend this class with their child(ren) on one Wednesday each month. Class is from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Parish Center from September through May. We offer the parent sessions in both English and Spanish.
First Reconciliation & First Communion
Those entering 2nd grade in the Fall will sign up to complete classes on the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. Your child will still be participating in the Family Faith Formation night once a month with their parents. These are additional classes to educate children on these specific Sacraments.
Confirmation
Once a child has completed Family Faith Formation for grades K-6, they will continue their formation through Confirmation preparation classes. Confirmation preparation is a 2-year program. Confirmation classes begin for those entering the 7th grade and will complete the second year of the program during their 8th grade school year. The program we use is Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation. It is a robust Confirmation program that provides an exciting and comprehensive exploration of the Catholic Faith, offering a complete system of catechesis and evangelization.
