“Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”
St. Teresa of Avila

What does Pastoral Ministry look like? Pastoral Ministry at St. Bon’s encompasses RCIA, Bible Study, Apologetics, Hospital/Skilled Nursing Facilities Visitation/Communion, Home Visitation/Communion and Grief Support.

We are all called to be pastoral ministers to each other. To emit Christ living in us, from the inside out! As Catholics, we’ve been given the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy which are: To feed the hungry; to give drink to the thirsty; to clothe the naked; to shelter the homeless; to visit the sick; to help those in prison; and to bury the dead.
To instruct the ignorant; to counsel the doubtful; to admonish sinners; to bear wrongs patiently; to forgive offences willingly; to comfort the sorrowful; and to pray for the living and the dead.

We have great witnesses of pastoral ministry here at St. Bon’s! We have EMHCs who take the Holy Eucharist to those who can’t come to church; visit those in the hospital, home bound and nursing homes. We have parishioners who lead Bible Studies at the jail. We comfort and visit those who are grieving. We have Bible Studies/Apologetics/RCIA that that people can get involved in to learn and grow in the Faith. And, we pray for the living and the dead.

Help us to serve you! If you or one of your family members are in the hospital, have moved to a nursing facility, have an illness, would like to be prayed for or prayed with, or would just like a visit, please call Belinda Keiter at the parish office and let us know.

If you are interested in Bible Study/Apologetics the RCIA program, please call Belinda Keiter at the parish office.
