Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council is composed of members of our parish.  Some members are representative of other boards, like the Finance Committee and Total Board of Education. They evaluate the needs of the parish and work towards managing significant issues facing the parish and advise the pastor on these issues.

 

Finance Committee

This committee considers and makes recommendations concerning parish finances to the pastor and Parish Pastoral Council. They develop the yearly budget and supervise spending that helps meet the physical and spiritual needs of the parish.

 

Stewardship Committee

The Stewardship Committee is responsible for developing stewardship as a way of life at St. Bonaventure. They evaluate the Stewardship efforts of the parish, assist with the Stewardship Renewal, and follow up with leaders concerning ministry participation.

 

Real Estate Committee

The mission of the Real Estate Committee is to provide long-range planning and goal setting for the St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish. They help manage and maintain the parish rental properties. They also provide parishioner input to the Parish Pastoral Council concerning facility related issues.

 

Endowment Committee

The Endowment Committee exists to foster the financial growth of the parish endowments. The committee manages the endowment accounts and encourages donations into them.

 

Vocations Committee

The mission of this committee to our parish is to foster and promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Members grow through fellowship, education and Christian service.

 

Home & School Association/Scrip Program

The Home & School Association is made up of St. Bonaventure’s school parents and manages the Scrip Program to provide the school with much needed extra financial support. In addition to fundraising, the association provides a meal during Catholic Schools Week and Parent/Teacher conferences for the faculty, hosts the 6th grade graduation, sponsors an end-of-the-year picnic, and provides volunteers to help with recess duty and many other projects.

 

Parish Total Board of Education

The board advises the pastor, principal, preschool director and PRE coordinator in matters of policy, to evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies, to promote understanding and support of the school, preschool and PRE program and in the identification and articulation of educational plans and recruitment.

 

Scotus Board of Education

This board comprised of three representatives from each of the three parishes, acts as a consultative body, aiding the three pastors and school president to establish school policies and procedures for Scotus.

 

Cemetery Board

The Cemetery Board is responsible for selling available plots, keeping records of sold plots, and providing perpetual care for the cemetery grounds. From tree planting to mulching to special flower planting, this board ensures that the cemetery always honors the souls of the faithful departed buried in both of our Catholic cemeteries.
