FFF (Family Faith Formation)/Parish Religious Education Program

St. Bonaventure’s FFF (PRE) grades K – 6th, is a family-based program that help families grow in the love and understanding of God and the Catholic faith. It is designed to support parents as the primary educators of their children in the faith. They involve various activities, such as prayer, projects, and discussions to do with your children at home. One Wednesday a month, parents and their children will meet at the Parish Center to hear a presentation based on the month’s main topic, that will aid in strengthening the family’s relationship with God and the Church.

At least one parent will attend this class with their child(ren) on one Wednesday each month.
Class is from 6:30-7:45pm in the Parish Center from September through May.
We offer the parent sessions in both English and Spanish.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

A special Word service is held for children ages 4 years old through second grade during Sunday Mass. The children are invited to go with an adult leader during part of the Mass where they have their own readings based on the Sunday Scriptures, their own homily, their own petitions and their own Profession of Faith. Children return to Church during the offertory collection time. Materials are provided to the volunteer adult leaders to assist their planning. Jr. High/Sr. High students or adult volunteers assist the leader in managing the group. Volunteers are needed to maintain and expand the service of this ministry.
